Slow Club – Wild Blue Milk

While their latest album, titled Paradise, may be more polished, there’s no doubt that fans of Slow Club miss the charming duality of their debut album Yeah So. And that’s why I bring you b-side track ‘Wild Blue Milk’.

This acoustic rendition suits the song better than the recorded version which can be found on the back of ‘It doesn’t have to be beautiful’. I’m not really sure why they couldn’t find space for it on Yeah So. Perhaps its composition is too similar to ‘When I Go’ and therefore wouldn’t add anything to the album. But there’s something alluring about a couple of guitars accompanied by two perfectly harmonised voices.

Their offerings have been unfairly labelled as soundtracks for adverts before, but the sound is much more suited for getting lost in the countryside with your lover with no real care about where you end up.
